Ready to make your first change? This guide walks you through the entire process from start to finish.
Choosing Your First Edit
For your first edit, we recommend starting with something simple and visual. Good first edits include:
- •Changing a button color
- •Updating a font size
- •Modifying the header background
- •Adding an announcement bar
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1: Open Clyro
From your Shopify admin, go to Apps and click on Clyro. The dashboard will open with a live preview of your store.
Step 2: Type Your Prompt
In the command bar at the bottom, type what you want to change. Be specific. For example:
"Change the Add to Cart button color to green"
Step 3: Review the Preview
Press Enter or click Submit. Clyro will process your request and show you a preview of the change.
Take time to check:
- •Does the change look right?
- •Check it on mobile view too
- •Navigate to other pages to see if anything else changed
Step 4: Apply or Adjust
If you're happy with the preview, click "Apply Changes" to make it live on your store.
If something isn't quite right, you can:
- •Refine your prompt with more specific details
- •Cancel and try a different approach
- •Ask for adjustments like "make it darker" or "use a different shade"
Remember: Previewing is free! You only use credits when you click "Apply Changes."

You review:
Check desktop and mobile views. Make sure the text is readable and properly centered.
Then:
Click "Apply Changes" and the announcement bar goes live on your store!
What Happens After You Apply
Once you apply the change:
- •The edit is saved to your theme
- •It goes live on your store immediately
- •The edit is recorded in your history
- •You can always rollback if needed
Tips for Success
- •Be specific about what you want to change
- •Include colors as hex codes when you have specific brand colors
- •Check mobile view before applying any change
- •Start simple and make additional adjustments as follow-up prompts
