If your credit balance doesn't seem right, here's how to troubleshoot and resolve the issue.
Credits After Purchase
When you purchase credits or upgrade your plan:
- •Processing time: Credits typically appear within 1-2 minutes
- •Refresh the page: Try refreshing your dashboard to see updated balance
- •Check email: You should receive a confirmation email for the purchase
Note: If more than 5 minutes have passed and credits haven't appeared, check your payment method. The transaction may not have completed.
Credits After Using Edits
After applying an edit, your balance should update immediately. If it doesn't:
- 1.Refresh your dashboard
- 2.Check your edit history (the credit cost is shown for each edit)
- 3.Log out and log back in
Common Credit Discrepancies
1. Preview vs. Apply Confusion
Remember:
- •Previewing: Free, doesn't use credits
- •Applying: Uses credits and saves changes
If you expected to use credits but didn't, you may have only previewed the edit.
2. Model-Based Credit Usage
Different AI models use different credit amounts:
- •Basic model: 1x credits
- •Advanced model: 2x credits
A simple edit with the Advanced model costs more than the same edit with Basic.
3. Complex Edit Credit Scaling
More complex edits may use more credits:
- •Simple color change: 1 credit (Basic)
- •Multi-element edit: 2-3 credits (Basic)
- •Section creation: 3+ credits (Basic)
The credit cost is always shown before you apply an edit.
4. Monthly Reset Timing
If you're on a subscription plan:
- •Credits reset on your billing date, not the 1st of the month
- •Check your account settings for your exact renewal date
- •Unused credits may or may not roll over depending on your plan
Checking Your Credit History
To see a detailed breakdown of credit usage:
- 1.Go to Settings then Account
- 2.Click on "Credit History" or "Usage"
- 3.Review each transaction with date and credit amount
Missing Credits After Purchase
If you purchased credits but they're not showing:
Step 1: Check Payment Status
- •Look for a confirmation email from Clyro
- •Check your bank/credit card statement for the charge
- •Review your Clyro invoices in Account Settings
Step 2: Verify Account
- •Make sure you're logged into the correct account
- •If you have multiple stores, confirm you're viewing the right one
Step 3: Wait and Refresh
- •Payment processing can take up to 5 minutes
- •Try hard refreshing (Ctrl/Cmd + Shift + R)
- •Log out and log back in
Credit Balance Shows Wrong Number
If your balance seems incorrect:
- 1.Calculate your expected balance (starting credits - used + purchased)
- 2.Compare with your credit history
- 3.Check if any edits used more credits than expected (complex edits, Advanced model)
- 4.Verify your plan's monthly credit allocation
Request Credit Review
If you believe there's a billing error:
- 1.Document your expected balance calculation
- 2.Take screenshots of your credit history
- 3.Note any specific transactions that seem wrong
- 4.Contact support with this information
