Before You Start

Step 4: Verification

Shopify may request:

  • Government ID
  • Proof of address
  • Business docs

Takes 1-2 days. Accept payments while pending.

Fees

  • Basic: 2.9% + 30c online, 2.7% in-person
  • Shopify: 2.6% + 30c online, 2.5% in-person
  • Advanced: 2.4% + 30c online, 2.4% in-person

Test Before Launch

  1. Enable test mode
  2. Place test order
  3. Verify order appears
  4. Check confirmations
  5. Disable test mode

Disable test mode before launch. Real customers cannot pay in test mode.
